We've been lucky enough to hear the song of a few of these lovely little northern Australian birds for well over a month now. It's a delightful song.

Sharon, I had to laugh a little when I read your comment about your cats!  Sorry guys, not for you, lol!

Ellen, that was the reason I started videoing the wildlife around here in the first place ... so I could share it with my grandchildren.  They live in a big city and often miss the wonders of the wildlife, especially the sounds!  I hope your grandson enjoys the birdsong.

Thanks for your great comment, Lori and I'm glad you and your Cockatiel enjoyed the Shrike Thrush's song.  I'm very fortunate to live in a spot where I get to see lots of birdlife and wildlife in a natural habitat.  I too get a little sad when I see birds kept in cages, especially when I get to see how they thrive out in the wild.  I'm sure though your Cockatiel has a happy life as it sounds like you do your very best to make this so.

Hi Bernadette, I have a serious case of bird and plant envy right now! lol  I love seeing plants and birds from all around the world, what a treat, all thats missing are the garden smells. Thank You! My cockatiel enjoyed hearing the bird's sing as well. His owner died and he was at a relatives house and while I was visiting I started to whistle to him and he went crazy. They said, will you take him and I said yes. I wish they didn't sell birds to live their lives out in cages, but once they are raised that way they can never be released. I try to make his life enjoyable. If I were crazy rich I would build him a huge botanical garden to live in and have some resemblance of flight and freedom! Such beautiful creatures!

It was obviously off to keep making its nest and just decided to stop for a song.  Thankfully I was close by.
